Team Satsuma is celebrating after being shortlisted for three national industry awards.

Our talented team of 14 have been recognised in the prestigious CIPR Excellence Awards in the Best Publication, New Consultancy and Small PR Consultancy categories.

Satsuma Managing Director Ellen Widdup said: “We’re delighted to be shortlisted by the CIPR again this year, having won two CIPR PRide awards for the Anglia, Thames and Chiltern region in 2022.

“The beauty of Satsuma is that we take a completely remote, flexible approach, which has allowed us to attract the best talent from across the UK.

“Our unique team of former journalists and social media experts are a blend of the brightest minds in the industry, including the former News Editor of the Evening Standard and the former Deputy Features Editor of the Daily Express.”

The Best Publication award reflects the innovation and creativity in our work with client Anderson.
We created The Hard Hat, a quarterly magazine, with the goal of positioning Anderson as a thought-leader within the construction industry. The publication has gone on to become a benchmark for publishing excellence within the industry, reaching around 5,000 professionals with every printed issue and more than 10,000 digital downloads.

The shortlisting in the New Consultancy and Small PR Consultancy categories reflects our successful journey from dynamic pandemic start-up in 2021 to thriving, multi-award-winning business.

Ellen added: “While many businesses returned to their previous ways of working post lockdown, Satsuma continued to operate remotely. We have grown from two members of staff, into a diverse, team of 14 people.

“To be shortlisted for three prestigious awards is testament to the amazing work we do as a team which is reflected in our excellent client retention rates.”

The team now look forward to the glitzy ceremony in London on June 28.
