Job description: Account Manager (PR)

Salary: Dependent on experience
Hours: Full-time (40 hours delivered flexibly Monday to Friday)
Location: Remote

The Role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, creative and organised individual to create and execute impactful and inspiring communications campaigns across national and regional clients in a range of sectors.
The role will involve PR and media relations, social media, public affairs and marketing.
Our award-winning agency covers a range of sectors including construction, accountancy, retail, education, health and care, energy and climate, tourism and lifestyle and not for profit.
You’ll be a first-class copywriter and editor with creative ideas which will bring your clients ambitions to life.
You will be overseeing the delivery of day-to-day client work ensuring results are delivered on time and on budget.
You will report directly to the Head of PR and Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manage the delivery of PR strategies
  • Manage client account teams to achieve client objectives
  • Develop strong client relationships
  • Provide strategic advice
  • Sell in press releases and editorials with the ability to support content teams with writing when required
  • Compile and mange media contact lists
  • Plan, direct and manage in-person and virtual events
  • Oversee social media strategies and schedules
  • Review and edit content and ensure necessary approvals
  • Commission design, videography and photography as required
  • Commission and work with website developers for website build projects
  • Manage and produce activity reports for client work
  • Proactive networking and relationship development
  • Support the delivery of crisis communications
  • Identify new business opportunities and support with pitches

Skills Required

  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Good knowledge and awareness across a range of communications disciplines, for example PR, media relations, social media, events, digital advertising etc
  • Ability to produce communication strategies
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Good interpersonal, influencing and decision-making skills
