Smashing the KPIs
Satsuma’s social media strategy delivered measurable, high-impact results. We exceeded all agreed KPIs across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn – doubling follower numbers in just six months and dramatically improving reach and engagement.
Our Facebook community group has been exceptionally well received, growing to an impressive 8.4K members in just six months. The group now functions as a dynamic hub for peer support, accessibility tips, and direct dialogue with the scheme’s core audience.
We’ve also supported a series of high-profile strategic announcements – including partnerships with the London Borough of Merton Council, Warner Bros. Studio Tour, LEGOLAND, Disneyland Paris, and major zoos and theme parks in the UK and abroad – helping build credibility and momentum for the scheme across channels.
About the scheme
The National Disability and Carers Card Scheme is a social enterprise for good, designed to support people with disabilities and unpaid carers by providing recognised identification that can be used to access adjustments, discounts, and support – both in everyday settings and during leisure activities.
The card offers an easy way to communicate access needs discreetly and confidently, empowering individuals and families to enjoy greater independence and inclusion. It is accepted by a growing list of major brands, visitor attractions, and service providers across the UK and beyond.
With a fast-growing member base and a powerful social mission at its heart, the scheme is transforming how carers and disabled people are seen, heard, and supported in society.
We are thrilled to be playing a part in its incredibly important work.

Satsuma has worked with the National Disability and Carers Card Scheme since 2024, leading an organic social media strategy that is building trust, driving engagement and creating a real sense of community.
A grassroots initiative designed to improve everyday access and recognition for carers and disabled individuals, the scheme needed to grow visibility and connect with those it aimed to support.
Satsuma launched and grew a dedicated Facebook community group that now has hundreds of active members sharing lived experience, advice and support.
Through consistent, values-driven content, audience interaction and campaign support, we’ve helped position the scheme as both a vital resource and a supportive online home for those navigating disability and caring responsibilities.
